🍎 A panel event calling all former and current teachers.
A UX and product panel shared their experiences transitioning from being in the classroom to joining product teams in a variety of roles within EdTech and outside the industry too. They gave advice to those hoping to make a similar jump.
Our panel featured:
- Abby Adams, Senior Director of Product Management / Adjunct Professor of UXD (former elementary teacher, 4 years)
- Zennebe Arnold, UX Researcher (former ELA teacher, 15 years)
- Jesse Bruce, UX Designer (former ESL social studies teacher, 8 years)
- Sarah Mondestin, UX Writer (former principal and teacher, 17 years)
- John Lewis, Design Manager (former Special Education teacher, 13 years)
Special thanks to:
- Kristina Wang for organizing and co-hosting the event.
- Imagine Learning for sponsoring the Zoom for the event. (Visit their Careers Page for UX roles.)
